Park city is very expensive. Especially since the Olympics went there in 2002. There are tons of great places outside of Park city to ski. Powder Mountain is okay priced and so is Nordic Valley. It’s been awhile since I’ve been, but those are two great places to ski.

Well, Park City isn’t cheap… but it’s got the BEST snow!

  2. Salt Lake City is much more economical. You can stay in the city near Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, and catch a bus to Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude. All of which are awesome. However, if you are into the glitz and the resort amenities in Park City, you will miss out on all that.

I also think Snowbird and Alta have the best snow, and they usually get more than Park City.

  3. Salt Lake City would be better because then you can drive to any of the ski resorts located here, not just the ones in park city. Food and hotels would be much cheaper and the travel between resorts isnt much different.

Go to Salt Lake. You are close to a lot of resorts and can fit your price range, and your ski “style”. Park City has a few resorts, that are equally good, but they are much more expensice. Salt Lake is closer to the airport. The rest of the Christmas kind of stuff to do is in Salt Lake too. Park City is just full of rich tourists.
